Job fraud is a serious issue. Red flags include: requests for payment to apply, requests for personal financial information, unusually high salary for minimal requirements, vague job descriptions, personal email addresses instead of company domains, and pressure to decide immediately.

To report a suspicious posting, use the "Report this job" link on any job listing page, or contact our support team directly. We investigate all reports and remove fraudulent listings promptly. We also report persistent fraudsters to relevant authorities.

Important: Legitimate employers will never ask you to pay to apply for a job or request your bank account, passport, or national insurance number during an application process.

Registration takes under 2 minutes and is completely free. Visit the registration page, enter your name, email address, and create a password. You can also register using your Google account for a single-click setup. No credit card is required and there is no trial period — all candidate features are permanently free.

After registration, you'll be prompted to complete your profile. A complete profile significantly improves your visibility to employers searching our candidate database and improves the relevance of job matching in your alerts and search results.

Job alerts notify you by email whenever new jobs matching your criteria are posted. You can set alerts based on: job title, keywords, location, salary range, job type (permanent/contract/part-time), and industry sector. You can configure multiple alerts to cover your full range of target roles.

Alert frequency options: Instant (as soon as a matching role is posted), Daily digest (one email per day with all new matches), or Weekly digest. We recommend Daily for active job seekers — it gives you first-mover advantage without overwhelming your inbox.

Log into your candidate account and go to your Profile section. You can upload your CV in the following formats: PDF, .doc, .docx, .txt, and .odt. Maximum file size is 5MB. We recommend PDF or .docx as these are most accurately parsed by our Resume Score™ system and by employer ATS tools.

Once uploaded, your CV is stored securely in your account. You can update it at any time — we recommend updating it whenever you start a new role, complete a significant project, or gain a new qualification. If you don't have a CV yet, use our free CV Builder to create one.

CV Builder

You have full control over your profile visibility. There are three settings:

  • Public: Your profile is searchable by all registered employers on the platform. Your CV is visible to them.
  • Confidential: Your profile appears in search results but your current employer's name and your contact details are hidden. Useful if you're searching while currently employed.
  • Private / Hidden: Your profile is not visible to employers at all. You can still search and apply for jobs, but no employer can find you proactively.

You can change your visibility setting at any time from your account dashboard under Profile → Visibility Settings.

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings: Account → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your profile, CV, saved jobs, applications, and all associated data from our systems within 30 days in accordance with GDPR requirements.

Alternatively, if you want to stop receiving emails without deleting your account, you can unsubscribe from all communications from the Email Preferences section of your account settings, or from the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send.

GDPR Right to Erasure: Under GDPR, you have the right to request deletion of all your personal data at any time. Submit a formal erasure request via our privacy contact form if you need confirmation of deletion within the statutory 30-day window.

  • Applying too late: Many roles are effectively filled within 48–72 hours of posting. Set up job alerts to ensure you're among the first to apply.
  • Over-qualified or under-qualified: Employers filter for experience level. If you're consistently not hearing back, check whether you're applying to the right seniority level.
  • Volume over quality: Applying to 50 roles poorly outperforms applying to 5 roles excellently — every time. Quality and tailoring matter more than volume.

Create a free employer account at our employer registration page. Once registered and with your company profile completed, go to your employer dashboard and select "Post a Job". Complete the job details form — including title, description, location, salary, and requirements. Jobs on the Essential (free) plan are listed for 90 days and distributed across the Expertini network of 251+ country-specific platforms.

Premium and Enterprise plan jobs receive enhanced visibility, featured placement, and distribution to third-party partner platforms. All jobs are automatically indexed for Google for Jobs, expanding your reach further at no extra cost.

Job descriptions are your primary candidate acquisition tool — treat them with the same care as any marketing asset. Key principles for high-performing job postings:

  • Lead with what the role offers, not what you require: Candidates read to understand what's in it for them before they assess whether they qualify.
  • Include salary range: Jobs with salary ranges receive 30–40% more applications than those without. Hiding salary signals misalignment and wastes both parties' time.
  • Be specific about requirements: Distinguish between essential and desirable requirements. Listing 20 "essential" requirements reduces your applicant pool dramatically — and often unnecessarily.
  • Describe the team and culture: Candidates evaluate culture fit as carefully as employers do. Help them self-select.
  • Use the exact job title candidates search for: Avoid internal titles that candidates won't search for. "Customer Success Ninja" won't be found; "Customer Success Manager" will.

Proactive candidate database search is available on Enterprise plans. This allows you to search our database of registered candidates by job title, skills, location, experience level, and availability. You can view candidate profiles, bookmark candidates of interest, and on Enterprise plans send direct messages to candidates whose profiles match your requirements.

Candidates control their own visibility settings — some are fully searchable, some are in confidential mode (profile visible but personal details hidden), and some are private. Employers can see visibility status before viewing a profile.

The Verified Employer Badge is a trust signal displayed on your employer profile and all your job listings, confirming that your company identity has been verified by the platform. It signals to candidates that your company is legitimate and actively managed — particularly valuable for lesser-known companies competing for talent against large brand employers.

The Verified Employer Badge is included in Enterprise Annual plan subscriptions. Verification involves confirming company registration details, domain ownership, and identity of the account administrator. The process typically takes 1–2 business days after submission of required documentation.

Your employer dashboard provides real-time analytics for all active and completed job postings. Metrics available include: total views, application rate, applicant quality scores (via Resume Score™ match rates), source of applications, time to first application, drop-off points in the application process, and applicant funnel progression rates.

Enterprise plan subscribers also have access to Diversity Analyser (anonymised diversity metrics for your applicant pool), Job Analytics (performance benchmarking against similar roles on the platform), and Talent Pipeline tracking across all active and historical hiring projects.

Low application volume is usually caused by one or more of these factors:

  • No salary shown: This is the single biggest reducer of application volume. Add a salary range.
  • Excessive requirements: A long list of essential requirements (especially if including unrealistic experience combinations) reduces applications significantly.
  • Poor job title: Using an internal or unusual job title reduces search discoverability. Use the standard industry title candidates search for.
  • Incomplete company profile: Candidates research employers before applying. An incomplete company profile with no description or branding reduces applications by 25–40%.

Privacy & Data Protection FAQs

Your data is used solely to provide the services you've signed up for — job matching, alert delivery, employer visibility, and career tool access. We never sell your personal data to third parties. Our data practices comply with GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), PIPEDA (Canada), and other applicable national data protection laws.

Specific data retention periods: CV and profile data is retained while your account is active plus 30 days after deletion. Application data is retained for 12 months from submission. Analytics and anonymised usage data may be retained longer but contains no personally identifying information.

Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you (Subject Access Request)
  • Right to Rectification: Correct any inaccurate personal data
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to Restrict Processing: Limit how we use your data in certain circumstances
  • Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format

Billing & Subscription FAQs

To upgrade, log into your employer account and go to Account → Subscription. Select the plan you want to upgrade to and follow the checkout process. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Your new plan features activate immediately upon successful payment.

If you're upgrading from monthly to annual, you receive a prorated credit for the unused portion of your current billing period. Annual plans offer approximately 20% savings compared to equivalent monthly billing.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Account → Subscription → Cancel Plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access to your plan features until then.

Refund policy: Monthly subscriptions are not refundable for the current billing period but cancel at period end. Annual subscriptions cancelled within 14 days of purchase are eligible for a full refund. Annual subscriptions cancelled after 14 days are not refunded but access continues until the annual period ends. Contact support if you have exceptional circumstances.

All payments are processed through Stripe, accepting: all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), SEPA Direct Debit (EU), BACS Direct Debit (UK), iDEAL (Netherlands), Bancontact (Belgium), and various other local payment methods depending on your country.

For Enterprise plan customers requiring invoice-based payment or bank transfer, please contact our support team to arrange this. Enterprise annual plans can be invoiced on request.
